Problems
with
Flight
Centre
In
Jan
2005
I
received
this
email
about
problems
with
a
trip
booked
in
advance
through
Flight
Centre
in
Papakura.
Last
year
in
September,
we
booked
and
paid
for
our
tickets
to
Darwin
so
we
could
choose
what
time
we
arrived,
for
Christmas.
Our
flight
was
early
morning
Christmas
day.
We
were
told
we
did
not
have
to
confirm
our
tickets,
twice,
by
Papakura
flight
centre.
When
I
did
just
that
the
night
before
we
were
annoyed
to
find
Qantas
would
not
let
us
fly
as
tickets
sold
to
us
only
had
a
50
minute
gap
between
incoming
international
and
outgoing
domestic
with
the
result
Qantas
had
to
rebook
us.
Thankfully
they
were
able
to
ring
rental
car
company
for
us
to
cancel
airport
pickup
as
we
landed
in
Darwin
at
12.30pm.
Not
what
we
wanted
at
all
or
paid
for
3
months
in
advance.
For
the
first
flights
we
had
to
forgo
N.Z.
Christmas
festivities
thinking
we
would
have
them
in
Darwin
but
no
we
missed
out
at
both
ends.
Leaves
us
rather
annoyed
that
Flight
Centre
did
not
contact
us
or
let
us
know
of
changes
in
security.
Only
extra
cost
was
taxi
from
airport
but
that
was
only
because
I
rang
up
to
confirm
flights
even
though
we
had
been
told
no
need
to
do
so.
If
I
had
not
rung
we
would
have
been
left
high
and
dry
at
the
airport
with
a
far
greater
cost
to
us.
Yes
we
did
have
Insurance
but
that
is
not
the
point.
Over
the
last
11
years
we
have
had
8
overseas
trips
through
flight
centre
this
is
the
first
time
they
have
mucked
up
but
then
again
this
was
the
first
time
we
booked
in
advance
so
we
could
choose
our
arrival
time
etc.
did
not
do
us
any
good
did
it?,
We
will
think
twice
before
booking
with
flight
centre
again.
