Flee is a simple shutdown/restart utility. It was written because none of the other similar utilities I found worked under Windows NT.

Features:

• Can be used as a command-line tool or a taskbar-icon
• Works under NT & Win9x
• Applications with unsaved data will prompt you if you attempt a shutdown / restart / logoff.
• Choose the double-click action --  /S-hutdown  |  /R-estart  |  /L-ogOff  -- default is Shutdown
• Use as a menu item --  /N-ow  --  performs the double-click action immediately instead of showing a taskbar icon

Download options:

• Download as .exe (34 kbyte)
• Download as .zip (13 kbyte).
• Download source as .zip (10 kbyte)

Installation / operating instructions:

• If you downloaded Flee as a .zip file, use a tool like Unzip to extract the .exe fom the .zip file
• Move the file flee.exe to the directory where you want to keep it, e.g. to your startup-programs folder or to your start-menu folder
• Run it!  Double-click on the tray icon to perform the default action (shutdown / restart / logoff) ; right-click on the icon to perform a different action

Uninstall instructions:

• Just delete flee.exe - flee does not create registry entries or menu shortcuts.

• v1.3 - Oct 1999 - Added Power-Downoption (WinNT) & fixed Win9X logoff bug
• v1.4 - Oct 1999 - Made Win9X logoff option contingent on user profiles or network logon being activated; put in a fix Microsoft's bug in Win9X ExitWindows()
